World Kindness Day

How are the funds raised by our events being spent? See a breakdown here!
World Kindness Day is celebrated every year on 13th November. It was launched in 1998 by The World Kindness Movement (which is not affiliated with any religion or political movement) and the purpose of the day is simply to create a kinder world by inspiring individuals and nations towards greater kindness.

In the UK the day is organised by Kindness UK – their website has lots of ideas for acts of kindness that will help to make the world a better and happier place. You are also able to pledge an act of kindness through the site.

This year the PTA decided to celebrate the day by:
  • giving thank you gift parcels made up of a range of tasty treats to all staff at the school
  • putting up posters around the school encouraging all pupils to be kind to one another, to their teachers and to their families
We would love to make this an annual event and would encourage everyone to participate!
