The money that the PTA raises all goes towards enhancing the personal, social and academic development of the children at the school. Any member of staff or parent who needs money for an initiative that benefits pupils at Europa School can apply to the PTA for a grant.
The PTA Committee has a responsibility to ensure that funds are spent in an effective way that will benefit and support the children as well as staff in their role of developing and educating the children. Please read all of the information on this page carefully before submitting a grant application. |
Timetable
We consider grant applications once each term, with payments made as soon as possible once a decision has been made. All applications must be received by the specified deadline if they are to be considered that term: save in exceptional circumstances, late applications will be considered at the following term's grant meeting.

Grant applications
All grant applications must be completed using our online standard form. We want the funding application process to be as simple as possible, and wish to make applicants aware of the following guidelines when applying for PTA funding:
When considering grant applications, the PTA will take into account the number of children in the benefiting group relative to the amount of money requested (and you will need to enter the amount requested per head on the form): whilst this will not be the only consideration, a request for e.g. £1,000 which benefits the whole of the Primary school is more likely to be successful that a request for the £500 which benefits just 20 children.

Grant applications
All grant applications must be completed using our online standard form. We want the funding application process to be as simple as possible, and wish to make applicants aware of the following guidelines when applying for PTA funding:
- One key person should be named as the person responsible for the application (normally the relevant department leader).
- Please include as much information as possible to allow the committee to fully consider application. The application will be considered based on what you tell us and we won't always have time to ask for more information before deciding how money should be allocated.
- It’s important to demonstrate how the funding will benefit the children, in line with the objective of enhancing the personal, social and academic development of the children at the school.
- The request will be considered at the next PTA committee meeting when grants are reviewed (see our meetings page for timings) and a formal response will be provided by the PTA Chair (or other nominated committee member) in writing to the applicant.
- Each application will be considered on an individual basis, and successful applications should not be viewed as setting a precedent for ongoing funding or future requests.
- Applications and the decision by the Committee will be published in the meeting minutes and made publicly available.
- For some applications - particularly those for large sums - we may invite the applicant along to the PTA meeting to explain their proposal and answer any questions that the committee has.
