Mediatheque

The Primary Library has gone through a massive make-over this summer, with new shelves, new seating areas and an area to run computer classes. It has been renamed The Mediatheque.
The mediatheque offers a large selection of books in English, French, German and Spanish.  Teachers and their classes use the mediatheque during the day. After school, volunteer parents open it so children and their parents/carers can come to browse and borrow books.
How can I volunteer for the Primary Library!
  • Keep the library clean and tidy
  • Run an after-school session for children and their parents
  • Select books on subjects teachers covered in class
  • Create signage
  • Promote the mediatheque
  • anything else you may think of. We are all ears!

Opening times

The Mediatheque volunteers welcome parents and their children on
  • Thursday - 15:30-16:30hrs

If you would like to open the library on another day, please get in touch by email at [email protected].

Who can come to the Mediatheque  after school?
At the moment, only children and their parents/carers can visit the mediatheque after school hours. Children can come to browse/read/borrow books. Children can borrow up to 5 books free of charge. After-school sessions do not include access to computers.

Picking up your kid(s) from after-school club or activity and would like to pay the mediatheque a visit?
Let us know. Our volunteers would be happy to open longer if there is interest.

Where is the Mediatheque?
The primary library is located between the Schuman Hall and the Reception / Y1 playground (see map).

How many books can children borrow?
Children can borrow up to 5 books for up to 4 weeks.
How can I support the Mediatheque?
  • Have a look at the Leo the Lion's Wishlist (link below) and contribute to the collection. We are especially looking for equipment that would let us add better signage to the library, such as  label holders and book ends to add to the shelves.
  • Join our team of volunteers. Please contact us by email at [email protected].
