The Primary Library went through a massive make-over during the summer of 2025, with new shelves, new seating areas and an area to run computer classes. It is now called The Mediatheque. Teachers and their classes use the mediatheque during the day. After school, volunteer parents open it so children and their parents/carers can come to browse and borrow books.
The Mediatheque volunteers welcome parents and their children on :
Tuesday: 3:30 - 4:15pm
Thursday: 3:30 - 4:15pm
Friday: 3:30 - 4:15pm
If you would like to open the library on another day, please get in touch by email at c.grand@europaschool.uk.
The primary library is located between the Schuman Hall and the Reception / Y1 playground (see map).
At the moment, only children and their parents/carers can visit the mediatheque after school hours. Children can come to browse/read/borrow books. Children can borrow up to 5 books free of charge. After-school sessions do not include access to computers.
Let us know. Our volunteers would be happy to open longer if there is interest.
Children can borrow up to 5 books for up to 4 weeks.
Have a look at the Leo the Lion's Amazon Wishlist and contribute to the collection.
We are also looking for equipment that would let us add better signage to the library, such as label holders and book ends to add to the shelves.
Volunteer to support after-school sessions for children and their parents. Please contact Celine by email at c.grand@europaschool.uk
Help select books on subjects teachers covered in class.
Promote the mediatheque, tell your friends!
Anything else you may think of. Get in touch, we are all ears!
A big thank you to all Europa parents who kindly donated books or purchased them from Leo The Lion's Amazon WishList.
